Rural Fire Service Queensland (RFSQ) recognises the value of our service and the community we reach.
Partnerships involve mutually beneficial relationships and we encourage shared value opportunities. Each partnership is individual, and we focus on ensuring our volunteers are supported and engaged.
Our Partnerships support the service and its volunteers across the state to perform their role and assist the most vulnerable members of the Queensland community, often in challenging times and events.
NAB – RFSQ Supporting Partners
The NAB partnership with us supports our volunteer and the Queensland community before, during and after natural disasters to create and sustain a safe and resilient Queensland.
This partnership supports a Volunteer Wellbeing project providing online mindfulness and resilience tools to increase likelihood of early intervention and help-seeking behaviour and supports prevention and pro-active mental health and wellbeing strategies.
The partnership also engaged NAB personnel in a unique, immersive skilled volunteering experience to deliver sustainable change and significant value to us.
Energy Queensland – RFSQ Supporting Partners
Energex and Ergon Energy Network are long-standing supporters of RFSQ with sponsorship since 2010.
Initially South East Queensland brigades benefited from an equipment program supplying valuable power tools and other items.
From 2018 Energy Queensland has supported the RFSQ with sponsored projects including:
- Solar power collection and storage units for remote brigades;
- Community engagement and communications equipment for areas impacted by significant fire events;
- All-terrain vehicles and heavy duty generators;
- Solar powered communications repeater trailers;
- Research and development support and prototype production of battery-powered slip-on units;
- Power management equipment; and
- Virtual Reality training equipment kits.
